Dojcinovic and Peco are winners in the category “professional journalists”, because “their brave stories had a significant impact on a society in an environment full of challenges” and “for their contribution to investigative journalism in Serbia”, the jury said.

Jury also reminds that Dojcinovic and Peco have participated in the global media “Paradise Papers” project, for which they received outstanding recognitions at the national and international level.

“They often work in dangerous, unsafe conditions and under pressure, and both have received threats,” stands in the explanation of the prize.

Dojcinovic and Peco will receive the award at the South East Europe Media Forum taking place in Tirana, Albania, on 15-16 November 2018.

CEI SEEMO award will also be given to Nino Bilajac, journalist of Sarajevo’s Center for Investigative Reporting (CIN), who is a winner in “young professional journalist” category.
