KRIK’s reporter Milica Vojinovic, whose house was broken into last Thursday night, made a statement to the police today. The case was filed as aggravated theft, but Vojinovic said she doesn’t rule out the possibility that the crime may have been related to her journalistic work.

Milica pointed out to the police officers one unusual detail she noticed when she first entered the house. She explained that about 500 euros were taken from the purse in her parents’ room, but she also found a wallet lying on the bed with about 400 euros in it, which the perpetrators didn’t take.

The case was officially registered as aggravated theft, but our journalist stated that she also has reasons to believe that breaking-and-entering could be related to her job. She received assurance that the case is highly prioritized.

The family house of Milica Vojinovic was broken into last week while she and her family were abroad. Her cousin found a ransacked home on Friday. Things were taken out of drawers and cabinets and her father’s business documentation was scattered around the room. There was nothing in the house that could compromise the confidentiality of KRIK’s sources.

We remind you that two and a half years ago the apartment of Dragana Peco, KRIK’s investigative reporter, has been broken into and nothing was stolen. Although reported to the police, that case is still unsolved.
